Three cars on track, raw 50 Hz readings, Kalman-filtered state and trajectory prediction projected more than 20 seconds into the future. When two predicted paths cross, the system computes the Time-To-Collision and fires the alert.
Each car is tracked as a stochastic process on the racing line: noisy telemetry readings are dynamically weighted against the kinematic model, producing a robust estimate of position and velocity even under momentary packet loss.
From that filtered state, the system projects the probable trajectory along the racing line and measures the expected minimum distance between every pair of cars. When that distance drops below the critical threshold, TTC is computed and the corresponding alert fires.
